About this site
A single, sourced answer to a question that is otherwise scattered across thousands of articles: who owns a venue, who runs it, who plays there, and whose name is on the roof.
Key facts
135 venues and 299 organizations are published here. The dataset is rebuilt on the 1st of each month and every altered value is logged. Every ownership, naming and sponsorship row carries the source URL it was derived from.

What this is
Venue ownership is genuinely hard to look up. The owner, the operator and the tenant are frequently three different organizations, the name on the building changes every few years, and most lists flatten all of that into a single "owner" column that is wrong as often as it is right. This site keeps those things apart, dates them, and shows the source for each one.
How it is built
A Python pipeline pulls from Wikidata, OpenStreetMap and Wikipedia into a MySQL database, resolves organizations across sources, derives the rollups, and exports JSON into this site's repository. The site itself is a static build: no database is queried when you load a page. The search box in the header is the one exception, and it talks to a small read-only mirror.
Corrections
Corrections are made in the master database against a cited source and flow through on the next monthly run, where they appear in the change log with a manual confidence level. Nothing is ever edited in the published files, because the next export would overwrite it.
What it does not do
It does not track ticket prices, event schedules, construction costs beyond what an article states, or club finances. It does not republish article prose. It does not guess: a fact with no source is left out.
