- What does this dataset cover?
- Stadiums, arenas, indoor arenas, amphitheatres and motorsport circuits with a capacity of 10,000 or more, plus every current home venue of a club in the competitions listed in the methodology. This build holds 135 venues across 36 countries.
- Where does the ownership and sponsorship data come from?
- Wikidata (CC0) supplies the venue backbone, OpenStreetMap (ODbL) the location and footprint, and Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0) the ownership detail and naming history. Every ownership, naming and sponsorship row carries the source URL it came from and a confidence level.
- How often is it updated?
- Once a month. The pipeline runs on the 1st at 03:00 America/Vancouver, writes every altered value to a change log, and publishes a permanent page for that month. The current build was generated on 16 September 2026.
- Can I download the data?
- Yes. The venue table offers CSV and JSON of whatever view you have filtered to, and the raw JSON files the site itself is built from are linked in the footer.
